My punto hunts from 800 to 400 rpm and has loss of power, it does this at random. it also sounds like its missfiring . so far i have had changed coils, plugs, ht leads, upstream lambda, throttle body and map sensor all very expensive to have done and every time told its fixed but its not. If you need to use the blower, for the time being you could just short the input -12v wire to the resistor pack to the output wire going to the motor. I believe its the wires that go to pins 4 and 5 but its an easy check with a meter and that will make the motor work on the max setting only.
